Clutton Church of England Primary School
Welcome to Clutton Church of England Primary School
May I warmly welcome you to Clutton CE Primary School and encourage you to read on to discover more about our wonderful community. We are delighted that you are taking the time to learn about life and learning at our school, and we hope this gives you a true sense of our happy, vibrant and caring environment.
From the moment I joined Clutton, I felt an overwhelming sense of warmth, dedication and togetherness from the whole school community – something that continues to flourish every day. When you visit, you will feel this for yourself as you soak in our engaging learning environment and distinctive church school ethos. As a Church of England school, our Christian values are at the heart of all we do. We believe every child is precious and unique, and we strive to nurture their talents and passions so they can flourish and reach their full potential.
Our curriculum is rich, exciting and connected, designed to spark curiosity and develop confident, enthusiastic learners. Children are valued, supported and encouraged both educationally and spiritually within our school family. Our strong links with St Mary’s Coddington, St Chad’s Farndon and the wider community help us provide meaningful experiences that enrich the children’s journey.
At Clutton, we aim high and encourage our children to believe in themselves so that they can truly shine within our caring Christian family. We value the vital role parents and extended family play in a child’s learning journey, and we are committed to building strong partnerships from the very start.
We are also mindful of the challenges children face in today’s world. The lasting impact of the pandemic and the pressures of the current financial climate continue to affect children socially and academically. As a school community, we work tirelessly to lessen these effects and support every child’s well-being and development.
I look forward to welcoming you and your children to Clutton CE Primary School.

Clutton is a happy school where everyone matters. We aim to provide the very best education for all the children in our care, by contributing to their intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development.
Our children are our richest resource and we seek to foster a love of learning and of life. We believe that education empowers children to make informed choices about their life and to choose their future.
We pride ourselves on being an extended family in which everyone is valued within our learning community.
We believe that the relationships we develop with our children and their families enables us to create a warm and welcoming ethos which is so evident throughout our school.
We actively encourage hard work, high expectations and happiness through our broad and balanced curriculum. We hope that during your child’s time with us, they really enjoy coming to school, learn to like themselves and others and develop a love of learning. As a parent, we hope that you feel that you can approach us with anything that troubles you or your child and that we can work together to make sure your child makes the most of their childhood years.
Our aim is to help to prepare your children to value and embrace their future. Clutton is a special place where staff and children work together, supported by our Christian faith to create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all.
Do spend a few moments browsing our school website to see more about what we do and how we create a purposeful and stimulating learning environment. If you are new to the area, you are most welcome to contact the school to arrange a visit. For our existing families we hope the website gives you another means of sharing and celebrating what we do.
You are very welcome to visit and see for yourself.
‘Our School rejoices in its foundation as a Church of England school. The Christian ethos is both implicit and explicit in our practice, policies and procedures. Our Christian distinctiveness is evident everywhere; from the entrance, and the Bible verses displayed throughout the school, to the children’s exemplary behaviour. Our values are based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and are theological and inclusive. They permeate the children’s whole experience and are at the heart of our curriculum and school life in order for them to thrive in the wider world.’
